It just didn’t make sense; a doll house remodel in the hot west Washington Park neighborhood that couldn’t get a serious offer for love or money. Blame it on the slumping market or the fact that it was winter, a slow time in the market for Denver, what ever the cause this home needed an interior injection of warmth to push it into that “buy me” arena. With rooms on the smaller size it required furnishings that gave a visually expansive feeling. This was accomplished with smaller scale furniture, chairs without arms and carefully chosen wall art. In the loft like master bedroom upstairs, light airy colors, an iron bed set and a simple sitting area vignette gave this half story retreat that cozy feeling it needed to speak.
The results were gratifying. After languishing on the market for five months this home got a firm offer fifty six days after our staging efforts. |
